On the uniqueness of the Chentsov metric in quantum information theory

ABSTRACT

We show that of all the monotone metrics on the manifold of states of a finite quantum system, the Bogoliubov-Kubo-Mori metric is the only one (up to an overall constant factor) for which the (+) and the (-) affine connections are dual.
