Michael E. Fisher, Theoretical Physicist

I first met Michael in 1958, when he had just been appointed at King's College London as lecturer in physics. He was president of the Sceptics Society, a dissenting student club at King's. Although I was at Imperial College, I was tolerated by the members, after having been encouraged to join by Gabriel Smol, who had left KCL to join Salam's group at IC.
