Adam Majewski is a former student at Torun under Kossakowski. He is now a professor of physics at Gdansk University, working on statistical physics using C*-algebras and W*algebras; he has been interested in quantum dynamics, time-reversal invariance and detailed balance. We wrote this paper together. His recent work is on quantum chaos, and the structure of positive maps.
