Lee is famous for the Lee model, an exactly solvable model of quantum field theory, as well as the solution of the tau-theta puzzle of particle physics. With Yang, Lee proposed that parity is violated in weak nuclear reactions, a revolutionary idea that was soon verified experimentally by Madam Wu.
