Rudolf Haag is the main originator of the idea that in physics, all observables are localised in a region of space-time; this has led to a better understanding of superselection rules and the connection between spin and statistics.

Deciples of Wightman and Haag have formed the feldverein, Pauli's word for those around Lehmann, Symanzik and Zimmermann in the early days.
