Ph. D. Scholarships in Mathematics at King's College London

The Dept. of Mathematics is pleased to be able to offer a scholarship to be awarded to a student of mathematics studying for the Ph. D. This will usually be an award of £ 2,000 for three years, making £ 6,000 in total. Exceptionally, the award might be split into two equal parts, shared by two students. The first award(s) will be made in the academic year starting Sept 2005. Further awards will be made every year while funds last.

Applications may be made to the Head of Dept., Prof. Andrew Pressley. A degree in mathematics, with outstanding performance, will normally be required. Evidence of some original work will be expected.

The award will be made to the student judged to be the most promising in research in mathematics, and whose field is approved by the Dept.
