Freeman J. Dyson

I met Dyson in 1960 at the Institute of Advanced Study, Princeton. He struck me as a very modest man, but deep. I had written a paper criticising one of his, which he reminded me of when we spoke at his Schrodinger Lecture, Imperial College 1998.
