Jean Dolbeault, non-linear analyst

I first met Jean at Bedlewo, Poland, 2003, at the conference of non-linear nonlocal partial differential equations. He and Maria J. Esteban have been working on the hard problems of existence and uniqueness of solutions to models of stellar collapse. These arise from my coupled equations by including the mean-field approximation to the Coulomb force or Newtonian gravity between the particles.
