Complex Analysis with Mathematica
Errata
Printing
glitches
I mention these
separately as you can check such errors by comparison with the electronic
edition on the CD. A few errors have arisen by a sporadic loss of a bit of a
font at the final printing stage. If you look in the NotebooksNoOutput
directory at the relevant Chapter, you will be able to check very quickly what,
if anything, has been garbled. As of early May 2006, the author is aware of the
following such problems:
Section 10.8, p.
218: In Eq. (10.53), the right hand part of the modulus sign in the rightmost
appearance of |z| has printed rather faintly in my copies.
Section 17.3, p.
366: The mysterious boxes in Eq. (17.38) should be partial derivatives. (See
the analogous discussion for the Laplace case in Eq. (18.11) (which is fine)).
Section 23.5, p.
519: The mysterious box between n and d on the line just below Equation 23.30
should be a “not equals” sign.
Typoes of the
First Kind
OK, these are
where I messed up. These are in both the printed and e-versions.
Section 23.9, p.
533, second line from bottom. “geometricy” should be “geometry”.
Reporting a
Typo
If you find what
you think is a typo and it is NOT in the above list please (a) double-check
your maths first if it is a mathematical issue, (b) then check to see what is in
the electronic version and (c), finally email
me!
