I am currently pursuing a PhD in mathematics at King's College London. My area of research is number theory and my supervisor is Fred Diamond. I'm studying aspects of Serre's Conjecture, even though Serre's Conjecture is now a theorem. For the uninitiated, this article gives a brief introduction to the state of affairs. Though it doesn't explicitly discuss Serre's Conjecture, I also really like this article by Henri Darmon on the announcement of the proof of the full Shimura-Taniyama-Weil Conjecture. My research statement (pdf) explains a bit further where my work enters the picture.
As part of my thesis, I wrote code to compute cohomological mod p modular forms over imaginary quadratic fields. This code is now part of the "Modular Forms Resources" compiled at a workshop in Bristol in August of 2008.
