This project is funded under the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) 'Integrative Analysis of Brain and Behaviour’ initiative and involves the collaboration of psychologists, experimental and computational neuroscientists from the University of Wales, Bangor, University of Oxford, Birkbeck and King's College of the University of London (see People). The main focus of the project is the study of the interaction of attention and emotion in the human brain through a combination of behavioural and neuroimaging (fMRI and EEG) experiments and computational modelling. Through this collaborative effort we hope to help understand better what the underlying neural mechanisms of these brain functions are and begin to bridge the knowledge gap between human behaviour and its neural substrate.
