Conference fees

• The fee for the conference is £50, payable at the time of registration, and covers coffee and tea breaks during the conference and the booklet of abstracts that will be distributed to participants upon arrival.

• Full-time students will benefit from a reduced conference fee of £25. Proof of student status will be required.

• Early registration discount: For participants who register (and pay) before 21 January 2000, the conference fee will be reduced by 20% to £40.

Financial Support

• Scholarships for Postgraduate Research Students

  The London Mathematical Society has generously offered to fund some scholarships for research students registered at a university in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. These will contribute towards the cost of accommodation and travel, provided that matching funds are offered by the student's university. Applicants who are interested in applying for one of these scholarships should indicate this on the registration form.

• Travel Funds for Participants from Developing Countries

  The International Association for Mathematical Physics has secured travel funds for the XIII International Congress on Mathematical Physics. These funds are targeted at participants from developing countries; a partial list of countries is given below. Participants who wish to attend the satellite meeting on Disordered and Complex Systems as well as the main congress can therefore apply for travel funding from the organisers of the main conference. Such participants should inform us on the registration form that they are applying for travel funding from the main conference in this way.
