Financial Mathematics Summer School

Financial Mathematics Summer School

Tuesday 25 June 2002

10.00 - 16.30

This year the theme of our summer school is Financial Mathematics. It will be a one-day school with lectures taking place from 10.00 to 16.30. There will be breaks for discussions with the audience, refreshments and lunch. The course is intended for students studying for A-level Mathematics and their teachers.

This introduction to financial mathematics will be presented by our Financial Mathematics staff and outside speakers. While you probably are aware that mathematicians with an expertise in financial mathematics are highly sought after by banks and other financial institutions, you may not realize that financial mathematics is an important and growing field of mathematics research, involving deep mathematical ideas. This summer school will give you a chance to find out about this rapidly developing area of mathematics from specialists. Lectures will cover a variety of topics, beginning with an overview of the subject.

Attendance is free of charge. To register for this summer school, contact
